Thermal Insulation of Facades at Green Lake: Protection and Energy Efficiency

The perimeter structure of the exterior walls at Green Lake consists of an exterior facing made of Porotherm bricks, seamlessly integrated into the vertical structural elements using specialized fasteners. To increase energy efficiency, the walls are insulated on the exterior with a 15-centimeter layer of mineral wool.

This insulation significantly helps reduce energy consumption, ensuring optimal thermal comfort inside homes. In addition, basalt mineral wool is environmentally friendly and poses no health risks, thus meeting the sustainability standards promoted at Green Lake.

The facade design harmoniously alternates between glazed sections—featuring aluminum frames and Schüco Thermopan glass—and opaque sections. These opaque sections consist of masonry, mineral wool, and an EQUITONE ventilated facade system, in shades of light and dark gray. This combination gives the buildings a modern and refined appearance, while contributing to the sustainability and energy efficiency of the residential complex.
